One gym chain has found a way not to intimidate overweight customers.
While overweight people may want to go to the gym to lose weight, some of them might feel shy, anxious or embarrassed to do so. Downsize Fitness has made a change in this. Their new program— only customers that are 50 pounds overweight may participate.
Personal trainers will work with the gym members as well as monitor their eating habits. The presence of other gym members who share the same goals as well as the team session trainings are believed to make the bigger customers more at ease with exercising.
For now, Downsize Fitness has gyms in Chicago and Dallas only.
