An entire supply of donkey cheese that costs $500 a pound has been purchased by Novak Djokovic, the Serbian tennis player who is currently ranked No.1 .
Djokovic bought the entire year’s output from the donkey farm in Zasavica, located west of Belgrade. This rare cheese known as Pule is the record holder for most expensive cheese. As Daily Mail reports, it takes 25 litres of fresh donkey milk to make a single kilogram of Pule.
Where will all these cheese go? Djokovic is opening a chain of restaurants in Serbia and the cheese will be one of its main attractions.
It is said that the farm in Zasabica is the only place in the world where they produce this donkey cheese. Well, if you are craving for Pule, you will have to go to one of Djokovic’s restaurant.
And for the price he might charge for it? Let us hope that you will get an autographed receipt at least.
