World Cup Sustainability Project

recycle coke bottlesCoca Cola is just living up to one if its messages “ live positively”.
In preparation for the 2014 FIFA World Cup, Coca Cola has launched a recycling campaign. The people of Rio have set up 100 collection points for these PET bottles.
What has these bottles got to do with the World Cup? The recycled plastic bottles will be used for the linings for all the 6,773 seats of the Macarana Stadium.
From FIFA’s 2012 opinion tracker, results say that 92% of the people of Brazil want the World Cup event should be environment-friendly. 50% of this population also want that the stadium should have proper facilities for recycling and waste disposal. Thus FIFA partnered with Coca Cola for this sustainability project.
